Smart Spaces adds five assets to its Portfolio

London, 23 June 2022 – Smart Spaces is smart-enabling some of London’s leading new assets, placing it at the heart of the capital’s regeneration as it delivers smart office accommodation across the Square Mile, Southwark, Kensington, Holborn, and Camden.

The pioneering smart tech provider has added 750,000 sq ft of high-specification London workspace to its global portfolio of over 60 million sq ft of real estate currently powered by the business, following the implementation of its ground-breaking technology at Bankside Yards, 85 Gray’s Inn Road, Sixty London Wall, The Kensington Building and The Kodak Building.

Native Land’s Bankside Yards is a 5.5-acre riverside commercial, residential, wellbeing and retail destination and the UK’s first major mixed-use development to be delivered entirely fossil fuel free. The ambitious scheme connects London’s South Bank to Bankside for the first time in 150 years, delivering eight new buildings, peaking at 50 storeys and sitting above 14 grand arches. Arbor, the Wired Score Platinum rated 19-storey development, is the first building to be delivered at Bankside Yards, bringing forward 223,000 sq ft of workspace, where Smart Spaces is deploying its occupier experience app with contactless access, QR code visitor invite, as well as enabling future tenants to have climate and lighting mood control, as well as enhancing sustainability performance with Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) and energy monitoring.

At LaSalle Investment Manager’s Sixty London Wall, Smart Spaces has been advising on the base build systems to enable a full integration and will be delivering its occupier experience app with fast-track smart building access and contactless visitor management, combined with Otis e-Call, the bespoke touchless experience elevator app, a first of its kind in the UK. This asset represents one of the City’s most prominent new office buildings, and has prioritised its user’s wellbeing, environment, and holistic experience from the outset of its formation, and now enhanced by technology.

The Kensington Building, owned by Ashby Capital, has been smart-enabled as part of the property’s ambitious redevelopment plans. Smart Spaces’ innovative technology has delivered a suite of agile workplace solutions via a tailor-made app for The Kensington Building – enhancing security, wellness, community engagement and sustainability, whilst smoothly enabling contactless entry, meeting room and desk bookings, temperature, and lighting control, alongside the creation of a digital twin for optimised real-time building management.

Clearbell Capital is bringing forward The Kodak Building, the six-storey Holborn asset currently undergoing an extensive refurbishment and restoration, as well as 85 Gray’s Inn Road, a five-storey office building located in Midtown’s ‘knowledge quarter’ which is currently being repurposed to create lab-enabled space for London’s burgeoning life sciences community. Both assets will include new features implemented by Smart Spaces to enhance their performance including deploying its occupier experience app with contactless access, QR code visitor invite, climate and lighting mood control, as well as enhancing sustainability performance with Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) and energy monitoring.
