ISO27001 Accreditation for Data Security

Smart Spaces^® believes data security of clients, partners and stakeholders is of the utmost importance and takes it very seriously. Thus, to ensure compliance and reassure of our commitment to cybersecurity, we have achieved the international standards accreditation ISO 27001 in January 2021.

Published by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), ISO 27001 is an auditable standard that sets the requirement for ‘establishing, implementing, maintaining and continually improving an Information Security Management System (ISMS), as well as the assessment and approach to information security risks.

The Cyber Essentials Plus certification is a Government-backed scheme that recognised conformity to – and fulfilment of – a set of technical controls regarding the protection against online security threats.

It is the highest recognition, requiring hands-on technical verification for its achievement. Being Cyber Essential Plus certified is demonstration of our pledge to effectively secure our – and our clients – data and systems against cyber-attacks via a series of effective measures put in place by our experts.

The scheme is also backed by the Federation of Small Businesses, the CBI and various insurance organisations.

Recognised by thousands of organisations in the UK, including SMEs and FTSE 100 companies, the SafeContractor accreditation is a leading indicator of a business’s health and safety standards.

Under the SafeContractor assessment, Smart Spaces^® underwent a rigorous vetting process to examines the health and safety procedures and our track record for safe practice. Companies meeting these crucial criteria are included on a database open to registered users only, enabling client organisations to qualify potential contractors before they set foot on site.

SOC 2 Type II, developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), evaluates the operational effectiveness of an organisation’s systems and processes over time. It emphasises key trust service criteria: security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality, and privacy—all essential for ensuring robust information security. 

Smart Spaces underwent a comprehensive, independent assessment to verify the security, availability, confidentiality, processing integrity, and privacy of our software applications. This certification reflects our capability to safeguard data, mitigate risks, and maintain operational integrity across our platforms.
