Global insurance and reinsurance company, Beazley Group moved from Plantation Place, where 750 staff occupied 60,000 sq ft, to their newly fitted 50,000 sq ft office at 22 Bishopsgate.
Designed for the future of work, the space offers 400 flexible workstations, alongside breakout areas, bleachers, libraries, observatories, and team spaces creating an environment that fosters collaboration, creativity and wellbeing. Since the move, Beazley has grown its team to over 1,350 employees. Thanks to the real-time insights delivered by the Smart Spaces platform’s occupancy sensors, they have seamlessly accommodated this growth without expanding their footprint or reconfiguring the space.
The Beazley Colleague Engagement App, developed in partnership with Smart Spaces, enables a fully contactless experience from street to seat.
Through a single app, users can access smart features including occupancy and air quality monitoring, energy dashboards, room and desk booking, food ordering, benefit schemes, a community social wall, and event registration. Throughout the project, Smart Spaces worked closely with Beazley’s facilities management team to align the platform with their hybrid working strategy.
Our work spanned smart workplace planning, enterprise-wide space utilisation reporting, live availability indicators, global bookings, integrated visitor management, food & beverage pre-ordering, loyalty programmes, and click-and-collect services, all designed to empower employees to plan, access and enjoy a dynamic, efficient and rewarding workday.
