Scope 3: Supply & value chain Sustainability goes beyond environmental. This scope looks at concerns across the supply chain. Even before construction commences, are the players involved adhering to ethical practices when it comes to their labour force, resource exploitation, material extraction and commitment to build quality? Transparency is also examined. With the complexities of a building project that involves multiple suppliers and vendors, the ability to ensure sustainable practices and quality assurances is paramount. The holistic social approach Whether it’s diversity and inclusion, privacy and security or health, comfort and safety; social impact issues intersect across all of the scopes. The goal being to raise awareness and advocate for those impacted by the built environment.
